The dangers of surgical plume
Surgical staff are at risk every time surgical plume is created in the operating room, for some this is daily. As well as being an unpleasant odour, non-evacuated surgical plume can spread up to 3 meters from the surgical site, exposing the entire surgical team throughout the OR suite*. Read the full article.
The solution is the Mölnlycke Plume Evacuation Pencil, a superior solution that ensures minimised plume exposure and clear visualisation of the operative site - putting the safety of you and your patients first.

Pulsed Lavage
Our single-use high-pressure pulsed lavage system effectively cleans bone and removes debris during total joint procedures. This increases cement penetration into the cancellous bone for potentially stronger implant fixation and reduced revision rates. It is also an effective mechanical wound debridement system for cleaning wounds, removing dirt, necrotic tissue, and debris.
It is available in two versions:
-
AC adapter: reduced environmental impact thanks to lack of alkaline batteries. Single-use handpiece and re-usable AC adapter.
-
Built-in battery: a flexible and mobile version with battery pack integrated into the handpiece, for quick and easy battery removal.
